STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The purpose of the school of theology at FBC is to provide graduate professional training to prepare men and women for effective leadership in Christian ministries. The school endeavors to educate students from a broad cultural and religious spectrum for competent service in the church, the classroom, and society. The goal is for these students to go forth both to proclaim and to embody the message of God’s redeeming and healing love.

Students today need the challenge of curriculum material appropriate to the religious and educational environment to succeed in ministry. Our concept is the standard for future education in the field of higher education and ministry preparation.

THE GOAL OF THE GRADUATE PROGRAM

FBC is firmly grounded in a concept of abundant life and a concern for the healing of the totality of human.
The comprehensive integrated curriculum is designed to balance Bible knowledge and practical, profession ministry skills that will lead to effective evangelism and healing for the body, mind, and spirit. Students are challenged to seek wholeness in their personal lives so they can help those whom they contact to develop wholeness as a way of life. The goal of the graduate program is to achieve three general objectives:
1.To renew the personal life of the student.
2.To develop professional competence in ministry.
3.To encourage creativity and service.
